Please read this important letter from ANMTA president Jenifer Vellucci.
Dear ANMTA Member,
We start a new year with our industry in turmoil. We all know that there are many changes ahead, new rules to implement and more rules to be written. We want you to know ANMTA will do it’s best to bring you the most up-to-date information from industry experts, through panel discussions, commercial training and plant training. We realize that your time and efforts are focused on the future and so are ours. We want to support you during these trying times. It is through your participation and contributions that we are able to bring you conferences full of valuable information.
The 2012 due structure has changed slightly, we have implemented a rate structure that still uses access lines, but groups access lines into steps, this will help keep your costs low and constant, while also preserving the needed contributions for ANMTA. Please see the enclosed Dues Form for the new rates and remittance form. We are requesting that the form and payment be returned by March 31, 2012.
Thanks to the success of our Silent Auction, mulligan program, and your generosity, we are able to add two more scholarships this year, we will now be awarding (12) $1,500 scholarships. Enclosed is the ANMTA Scholarship procedures and application form, please distribute this to all eligible employees within your organization. The completed applications must be received by March 15, 2012. The recipients of these scholarships will be announced at our upcoming Spring Conference.
Our Spring Conference “Staying Alive with the New Rules” will be held at the Tamaya Resort in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico from May 29th through June 1st. You will notice small changes in the agenda of the meeting; those changes have been made in order to add more training for our members. We believe that the added training, especially during this time of change is the most beneficial use of the time that you spend with us. Don’t get me wrong, we will still have fun and golf at a beautiful course, but the emphasis will be training for both you and your employees.
A block of rooms has already been set aside for conference attendees, beginning on May 26th through June 5th. Room rates begin at $159, to make reservations, please call 888-421-1442 and mention the Arizona-New Mexico Telecommunications Association. Full details concerning the Spring Conference will be mailed out Mid February 2012.
Another change in 2012 is that we will have a Tabletop Showcase at both the Spring and Fall Conference, thus affording all companies the opportunity to attend and allowing the Associate Members to reach, share and demonstrate their goods in both New Mexico and Arizona.
There are so many changes to be determined in 2012, let us help you navigate, by bringing you together with industry leaders and each other so that you can share and increase your knowledge concerning our industry. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me or any of the Board Members.
Best Wishes,
Jenifer Vellucci
Association President
